Concert Attire

The following outlines the concert dress requirements for each group. If purchasing concert attire presents a hardship for your family, please contact Mr. Davidson for assistance. Please note that used ladies’ concert attire is frequently listed for sale on Choralnet early in the school year.

Footwear – All Groups

Boys: Please supply your own black dress shoes and black socks. Boys in Chamber Choir should choose shoes that look appropriate with the formal wear, but not patent leather.

Girls: Please supply your own single-strap (not T-strap) black character shoes with 1.5-inch heels. Some parent-recommended places to purchase character shoes include discountdance.com, amazon.com (be sure to use smile.amazon.com, with Walt Whitman Music Boosters as your designated beneficiary), Payless in Wheaton, and Carmen’s Dance Shoes (especially for hard-to-find sizes). Note that most character shoes tend to run a half size smaller than street shoes. Pantyhose are optional; if worn, please choose a neutral shade that matches your skin tone.
