Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra

MCYO has earned national attention for its outstanding youth orchestra program. Founded in 1946, MCYO is the oldest youth orchestra program in the Washington D.C. metro area, and is now regarded as the premier youth orchestra program in Maryland.

Potomac Valley Youth Orchestra

Founded in 1990, PVYO provides many musical opportunities for students living in Montgomery County.

M Street Brass

The M Street Brass Quintet performs music regularly for weddings, church services, recitals, social gatherings, and more throughout the Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington D.C. metropolitan area. One member is our very own Ms. Alvey!

Maryland Music Educators Association

Information regarding All-State groups, approved music for use in solo and ensemble festivals, and other related Maryland music activities.

Essentials of Music

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

The Kennedy Center’s ArtsEdge

The mission of ARTSEDGE is to help artists, teachers, and students gain access to and/or share information, resources, and ideas that support the arts as a core subject area in the K-12 curriculum.

Strathmore Hall Performing Arts Center

Located one-half mile outside the Capital Beltway in North Bethesda, Maryland, Strathmore provides a lively and diverse program of art exhibitions, concerts and performing arts programs, and literary lectures and events.

National Philharmonic

One of our areas’ most respected chamber orchestras. The National Philharmonic is among the outstanding organizations resident at the Strathmore Arts Center. Tickets are free for students!

Baltimore Symphony Orchestra

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is internationally recognized as having achieved a preeminent place among the world’s most important orchestras.  The BSO is a founding partner and resident at the Strathmore Arts Center and in Baltimore.

National Symphony Orchestra

Generally recognized as one of today’s finest orchestras, the National Symphony Orchestra is the orchestra of the capital of the United States, performing regularly at the Kennedy Center, Wolftrap, and other local venues.
